Claude Code for teams
Claude Code for teams, on your own machines
Claude Code is great for one developer. On a team, the session lives in one person's terminal, and everyone else waits for them to paste the result.
Your sessions run on your own machines
Start a Claude Code session in Cyborg and it runs on a machine you choose: your laptop, or one whose owner gave you access.
Every session gets Cyborg's tools. It can post to a channel, update a task and talk to your other sessions, so the result reaches the team without you copying it over.
For work the team repeats, set up a named agent
When the team needs the same kind of work again, set up a named agent on the same harness. Give it a name, a role and a home machine, and anyone in the channel can @mention it.
You stay its owner. What changes is who can ask it for work. The difference is explained in AI agent workspace.
Codex, Copilot and the rest work the same way
Claude Code, Codex, GitHub Copilot, OpenCode and Pi are built in. Cursor, Gemini CLI, Goose and more than 30 others install from the agent catalog through the open Agent Client Protocol.
Your harnesses can prompt each other. Your Codex agent can ask your Claude Code session for a second look, and Claude sessions can message each other directly. See AI agent orchestration.
Assign a Codex agent a task and the pull request links back to it. When the pull request merges, the task moves on its own. Details on the GitHub integration.
Real terminals, on the machine you pick
Open a terminal in Cyborg and it runs on the machine you choose, just like opening one there. Your sessions and terminals are yours.
An agent with permission can open a terminal for you, too. You watch it live, type into it or stop it.
Everyone brings their own plan
Each person runs sessions on their own Claude or ChatGPT plan, or with an API key. Don't stretch one person's subscription across the team. For a named agent that many people @mention, use an API key.
Cyborg is not affiliated with Anthropic or OpenAI.
Questions
Can my teammates see my Claude Code session?
They see what the session posts to a channel, a task or a pull request. The session and its terminals are yours.
What happens if I quit the app mid-session?
Sessions are saved and resume when Cyborg restarts. On macOS and Linux, live shells keep running. After a reboot, the scrollback is kept and the terminal reopens in the same folder.
Does it work with Gemini CLI?
Yes. Install it from the agent catalog, then run it as a session on your machine.
Can I run Claude Code on a teammate's machine?
Only if its owner grants you access, and only within the scope they choose. [AI agents on your own computers](/ai-agents-on-your-own-computers/) covers how grants work.
