Connect Jira
Let a cybo read, create, and update Jira issues — connect the Jira toolkit and grant it.
Connecting Jira lets a cybo work your backlog — create issues from a channel, comment, transition a ticket, or report on a sprint.
Before you start
- Composio is connected (it brokers the Jira OAuth).
- You can sign in to your Atlassian / Jira site, and you know its site name
(e.g.
your-team.atlassian.net).
Connect your Jira
- Open Settings → Integrations and find Jira.
- Click Connect.
- Choose the identity:
- Personal — the cybo acts as you in Jira.
- Shared workspace account (admin) — a shared Atlassian identity, required for scheduled/unattended runs.
- In the Atlassian popup, sign in, pick the site to authorize, review the scopes (read/write issues, comments, transitions), and approve.
- Jira shows Connected in Cyborg7.
Grant Jira to a cybo
- Open the cybo's Tools step.
- Enable Jira.
- Save. The cybo gets Jira's read actions (search issues, get issue, list projects). Create / comment / transition are write actions and are not granted yet — see what a grant covers.
Try it
Ask the cybo @pm what's still open in PROJ for this sprint?.
Troubleshooting
- "No projects found" — the connected account lacks access to the project, or you authorized the wrong Atlassian site; reconnect and pick the right site.
- Transition fails — the target status isn't a valid next transition for that issue's workflow; check the workflow in Jira.
- Permission denied on write — the Jira account needs create/edit permission in that project.
