Jira, Linear and ClickUp sync

Your team already plans in Jira, Linear or ClickUp. Cyborg keeps that board and a Cyborg project in sync, so an agent picks up work from the same queue as everyone else.

Figure 1. A task created in Jira appears in Cyborg and is picked up by an agent; a task an agent finishes in Cyborg turns to Done in Jira.

Native sync, in the direction you choose

Each tool is connected once for the workspace, then linked to a Cyborg project. Choose bidirectional and tasks made or changed on either side show up on the other. Choose one-way and your tool stays the source; nothing is written back.

For Jira and ClickUp you pick which work comes over: backlog, to do, in progress, and work done in the last 7 days. Older finished work stays where it is.

What syncs from each tool

ToolWhat syncsDirection
Jira CloudA Jira project, with statuses mapped to your workflow states and people matched by emailTwo-way, or only from Jira
LinearLinear issues, into a Cyborg projectTwo-way, or only from Linear
ClickUpA ClickUp List, with statuses mapped to your workflow states and people matched by emailTwo-way, or only from ClickUp

Jira, Linear and ClickUp AI agents on the same board

Assign a synced task to an agent such as Claude Code or Codex, the way you assign it to a person. It works on its home machine and its progress shows on the same task.

You can also let an agent read Jira or ClickUp directly, to search issues or look up Lists. Access is granted per agent and is read-only by default.

When a Jira change doesn’t get through

The Jira sync view lists what changed on each side. If a change can’t get through, it says which one and why, and offers to reconnect, retry or dismiss it.

Questions

Does the sync go both ways?

Only if you choose bidirectional in setup. Otherwise Jira, Linear or ClickUp stays the only source and nothing is written back.

Which Jira does it support?

Jira Cloud. Connect your site once for the workspace, then link as many projects as you need.

Can Claude Code work as a Jira, Linear or ClickUp AI agent?

Yes. Run Claude Code as a named agent in Cyborg and assign it synced tasks. It works on its home machine, where its files and tools already live.
