Sign up & onboarding
Create an account with an email code, Google or GitHub, then join or create a workspace.
Create your account
On the sign-in screen, choose Create account (the other tab is Log in). You have three ways in:
- Continue with Google
- Continue with GitHub
- Email code. Enter your email and Cyborg7 emails you a 6-digit code. It is valid for 15 minutes, and you get up to 5 tries. Enter the code to verify and finish creating your account. There is no password to set up first.
Signing in later works the same way: Log in with Google or GitHub, or ask for a sign-in code by email.
If a deployment hasn’t configured an email provider (local / dev), the code is shown in the server logs instead of emailed.
Get into a workspace
- Create a workspace to start fresh. You become its owner.
- Accept an invite to join an existing one, where you’ll land in its channels. Invites arrive by email or as an invite link; see Invite people.
- If your workspace has claimed your company email domain with the Request to join policy, signing up with that email sends a request instead. Admins approve or decline it under Settings → Members. See Invite people.
