Connect Everhour
Let agents read your team's time tracking in Everhour (projects, time records and reports). Read-only.
Connecting Everhour lets an agent answer questions about your team’s time: who logged what this week, how many hours a project has used, or what a person worked on.
Everhour is a native Cyborg7 integration, not a Composio toolkit. There is no OAuth popup. A workspace admin pastes an Everhour API key once, and each agent that should see time data gets Everhour switched on.
What it reads
- Projects in your Everhour account.
- Team users, the people on your Everhour team.
- Time records logged against projects and tasks.
- Project reports and user reports.
Read-only access
Agents only get read tools. No tool creates, edits or deletes anything in Everhour: no timers, no time entries, no project changes.
Which API key to use
Everhour shows an API key only what that user’s role can see. A member’s key returns that member’s own time. An admin’s key returns the whole team’s. If agents should read the whole team’s time, use an Everhour admin’s API key.
Find the key in Everhour under Profile → API.
Key storage
- The key is stored on the Cyborg7 relay.
- It is never sent to members’ machines, and the UI never shows it again after you save it.
- Only workspace owners and admins can set or remove it. Every member can see whether Everhour is connected.
Connect Everhour
- Open Settings → Integrations and find Everhour. Click Connect (it reads Manage once connected). The page is titled Everhour: “Let agents read your team’s time tracking.”
- In the API key section, paste the key into the field (“Paste the API key”, or “Paste a new key to replace the current one”) and click Save. If Everhour rejects the key, the page shows why and nothing is stored.
- The page shows “Everhour connected. Turn on Everhour in each agent’s Tools step.” The Connection section lists the Everhour account name and role with Connected.
To remove the key, click Disconnect in the Connection section and confirm in the Disconnect Everhour dialog. Anyone who is not an owner or admin sees “Only workspace owners and admins can connect or disconnect Everhour.”
Turn it on for an agent
Connecting the workspace does not give any agent access. Everhour is off for every agent until a workspace owner or admin turns it on for that agent.
- Open the agent’s editor and go to its Tools step.
- In the Workspace sync section, turn on the Everhour card (badged Native): “Reads time, projects and reports. It can’t change anything in Everhour.”
- Save.
Only a workspace owner or admin can turn this switch on. Anyone else who can edit the agent sees the switch disabled, with its current state, and can still save other changes without turning Everhour off.
Anyone who can use this agent can ask it for this workspace’s Everhour data, including hours, billable amounts, costs and profit. Turn it on only for agents whose users should see that.
Example
Ask the agent @ops how many hours did the team log on the Website project last week?.
Limits
- Time records are limited to 31 days per call. For a longer period the agent uses the report tool instead.
Troubleshooting
Errors when you save or remove the key
- “Everhour rejected this API key. Copy it again from Everhour (Profile → API).” The key was mistyped or regenerated in Everhour. Copy it again.
- “Everhour accepted this key but refused to read the account.” The key is valid, but Everhour would not return the account behind it. Check that the user can still sign in to Everhour.
- “Everhour’s rate limit was hit. Try again in a few seconds.” Wait a few seconds and save again.
- “Could not check the key with Everhour. Try again.” Everhour did not answer the check. Save again in a moment.
- “Could not store the Everhour key.” The relay could not save it. Try again. Nothing was stored.
- “Only a workspace owner or admin can change the Everhour connection.” Ask a workspace owner or admin to save or remove the key.
Errors when you save an agent
- “Only a workspace owner or admin can turn Everhour on or off for an agent.” Someone who is not a workspace owner or admin tried to turn Everhour on or off. Ask a workspace owner or admin to change it.
What the agent says
- “Everhour is not connected for this workspace. An admin can connect it in Settings → Integrations → Everhour.” No key is saved for this workspace. Connect Everhour first.
- “This agent is not allowed to read Everhour. Turn on “Everhour” in the agent’s tools.” The workspace is connected, but this agent’s switch is off. Turn it on in the agent’s Tools step and save.
- The agent only sees one person’s time: the key belongs to an Everhour user who is not an admin. Replace it with an Everhour admin’s key.
